The Taurus 66 is a seven-shot .357 Magnum built on a medium frame, and that extra round over a traditional six-shooter is a meaningful edge in a defensive or field revolver. This model wears a 6-inch blued barrel with adjustable sights, which makes it a natural for hunting, silhouette shooting and serious range work — the long sight radius and adjustable rear let you tune point of impact to whatever load you settle on. Being able to practice with mild .38 Special and hunt or defend with full-power .357 Magnum is the classic advantage of this chambering, and the longer barrel wrings real velocity out of magnum loads.
