The Taurus 856 is a compact revolver chambered in .38 Special with a 2-inch barrel and a stainless steel finish. It holds six rounds, which is more than many comparable snub-nose revolvers. Revolvers like this are popular for concealed carry because of their simplicity and reliability. The .38 Special is a well-established cartridge with plenty of ammunition choices, and the 856's compact frame makes it easy to carry. This listing is the California-approved version of the revolver.
