The Taurus 856 has quietly become one of the most popular small-frame revolvers in America, and the Ultra Lite version is why: an aluminum alloy frame drops the weight to well under a pound and a half, which is the difference between a gun you carry and a gun you leave at home. Six rounds of .38 Special in a frame this size is a real advantage over the traditional five-shot snubbies.

The 2-inch barrel, fixed sights, and smooth double-action trigger keep it snag-free from a pocket or purse. This one wears a stainless finish with gold accents for a distinctive look.
