This Thompson/Center Pro Hunter Katahdin barrel in .300 Blackout expands an Encore Pro Hunter frame into a compact, suppressor-friendly woods rifle. The Katahdin series was T/C's short, handy barrel line, and this 20-inch fluted, blued barrel makes for a quick-pointing single shot ideal for hogs, deer in thick cover and predator calling. The .300 BLK runs quiet with subsonic loads and hits hard with supersonic ammunition, and a single-shot break-action is one of the simplest platforms for enjoying the cartridge. The interchangeable-barrel concept is what made the Encore famous: one frame, many chamberings, and a new barrel changes the rifle in a minute. A great find for Encore owners looking to add a modern cartridge to their collection.
