TriStar's Viper G2 has built a strong following among hunters who want a reliable gas-operated semi-automatic in a no-nonsense package. The gas system does two useful things: it cycles a wide range of loads and it soaks up a meaningful portion of felt recoil, which matters over a long day of doves or a heavy waterfowl shoot.

This one wears full Realtree Advantage Timber camo with a 26-inch barrel in 20 gauge, chambered for 3-inch shells. The 20 gauge keeps weight and recoil down without giving up much practical effectiveness in the field.
