Sixteen gauge is a cult chambering, and finding a modern over/under in it is genuinely rare — which is most of the story with this TriStar Cypher X. The 16 splits the difference between 12 and 20, throwing a well-balanced payload from a lighter, trimmer gun, and upland hunters have argued for a century that it patterns better than it has any right to. With 28" barrels, blued metal, and a wood stock, this is a classic field configuration for pheasant, grouse, and quail. TriStar has built a following importing well-finished shotguns that people actually hunt with rather than baby.
