A revolving rifle is a genuine oddity in the modern market, and that's most of the appeal here. Taylor's & Company built this on the 1873 Cattleman single-action design, stretching it into an 18" barreled carbine chambered in .44-40 Winchester — the original dual-purpose cartridge that fed both rifles and revolvers on the frontier. Blued steel over a wood stock keeps the period look honest. Cowboy action shooters and collectors gravitate toward these for the novelty and the history, and the longer barrel wrings noticeably more velocity out of .44-40 than a sixgun does. Handle it like any single action: hammer back, one round at a time.
