Taylor's and Company specializes in faithful reproductions of 19th-century American iron, and the Gunfighter is their tuned take on the single action revolver. Chambered in .45 Colt with a 4.75-inch barrel, blued finish, and walnut grips, it carries the classic gunfighter proportions: short enough to clear leather quickly, long enough to shoot well. The Gunfighter treatment typically includes a lower-profile hammer and checkered grips for a faster, surer draw, which is why these are popular with cowboy action competitors who care about the clock. Equally at home as a range gun, a collector piece, or a piece of working Western history.
