The Weatherby scope base is a Picatinny rail for the Vanguard Series 2 rifles with a built-in 20 MOA of elevation. The added tilt gives the optic extra elevation adjustment, which is helpful for long-range shooting and big-bore magnum hunting. A solid base is the foundation of a good optic setup, since it keeps the scope stable and aligned through recoil. This rail is a simple upgrade for Vanguard owners who want to mount modern Picatinny-pattern rings and optics. Confirm that it fits your specific action before ordering.
