The Weatherby Mark V High Country is a bolt-action hunting rifle built around the Mark V action, known for its nine locking lugs and a short bolt lift. The High Country is designed for mountain and open-country hunters, with a 20-inch gray barrel that balances quick handling and good velocity. Weatherby's reputation rests on high-performance cartridges and rifles built for accuracy and strength, and the Mark V remains one of the most recognizable American-made hunting platforms. It's well suited to hunters planning serious western hunts for elk, mule deer, and other big game.
