The Weatherby Vanguard S2 Sporter in .223 Remington is a blued-and-wood bolt-action with a 24-inch barrel, a nice choice for varmint hunters and new shooters. The .223 Remington is easy on the shoulder, inexpensive to practice with and capable on prairie dogs, coyotes and other small game. Weatherby is famous for high-performance magnum rifles, but the Vanguard line gives you a classic look and good accuracy in a smaller cartridge.

It is a handsome, dependable rifle that suits both beginners and experienced shooters.
