The Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian is a bolt-action rifle in .223 Remington with a 20 inch heavy, threaded barrel and a blued finish. Weatherby has a long tradition of building accurate hunting rifles, and the Vanguard is known for solid out-of-the-box accuracy. The .223 Remington is a favorite for varmint hunting and target work with mild recoil. At nearly 10 pounds, the heavy barrel helps steady the shot. A good choice for predator hunters and range shooters.
