Weatherby's Vanguard is built on a two-lug action with a fully enclosed bolt face, and every Vanguard ships with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee backed by a factory target, which is unusual at its price. The Weatherguard configuration is built for hard weather, with a Cerakote-finished barreled action and a griptonite composite stock.

This one wears a burnt bronze finish with a 24 in. barrel in .25-06 Remington, a flat-shooting quarter bore that has been quietly excellent on deer, antelope and long-range varmints for decades with very manageable recoil.
