Weatherby's Sorix is the company's semi-automatic shotgun, and the Hush configuration is aimed at hunters who want a quieter, more comfortable gun to run. This one is a 20 gauge with a 28-inch barrel chambered for 3-inch shells. The 20 gauge deserves more credit than it gets: with modern shell technology it does nearly everything a 12 will do for upland birds and deer, at noticeably less weight and recoil, which makes it a better fit for smaller-framed shooters and for anyone carrying a gun all day. The 28-inch barrel gives a smooth swing on crossing birds.
