The Auto-Ordnance Thompson 1911A1 Army 250th is a commemorative .45 ACP pistol in the classic GI 1911 style, finished in OD green with a 5-inch barrel and a single-action trigger. Auto-Ordnance, the brand best known for the Thompson submachine gun, produces affordable 1911s, and this A Salute to Service edition honors the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary. The .45 ACP has served American soldiers for over a century, and this pistol provides a way to own a piece of that heritage. It is a great gift for veterans and a shooter at the range.
