The Auto-Ordnance Thompson TAO brings the name best known for the Tommy Gun into the world of .50 BMG. It is a bolt-action rifle built to handle the big cartridge, with a 29-inch barrel and a monopod for steady support when shooting from a rest or the prone position.

This version adds a folding stock, which shortens the rifle for transport and storage, a real advantage with a rifle this size. For shooters looking to step into .50 BMG with a no-nonsense bolt gun from an established American maker, the TAO is a practical place to start.
