Auto-Ordnance builds faithful semi-automatic tributes to the Thompson, and the Tanker is the compact interpretation, a shortened and lighter take on the M1 in .45 ACP with a 16.5-inch barrel that keeps it rifle-legal. Chambered for the same big, slow .45 slug that made the original famous, it is an enormously fun range gun and a genuine piece of Americana that happens to be very pleasant to shoot. This configuration wears an OD Green finish and includes a stick magazine pouch. Collectors and WWII enthusiasts will recognize the lineage immediately.
