The Colt Anaconda is a modern double-action revolver chambered in .44 Magnum with an 8-inch barrel and a blued finish. Colt revived the Anaconda name, first used on its popular large-frame 1990s magnum revolvers, with a stainless-steel-built frame and a smooth, well-tuned trigger. The long barrel squeezes maximum velocity from magnum loads and gives a long sight radius for accurate handgun hunting, while the weight absorbs recoil that can be punishing in lighter guns. It also shoots mild .44 Special loads, which makes it an enjoyable range gun and a capable big-game sidearm.
