Colt has been building the M4 pattern longer than anyone, and the name still carries weight with shooters who care that their rifle came from the company that wrote the spec. This pistol configuration runs an 11.5-inch barrel with a stabilizing brace, a length that keeps the gun maneuverable in vehicles and tight spaces while still giving 5.56mm enough barrel to perform at realistic defensive distances.

You get the direct-impingement operating system Colt refined over decades, mil-spec controls that any AR shooter will recognize immediately, and a black finish over quality steel. A compact, hard-use platform with the most established parts ecosystem in the industry.
