The Series 70 designation means something specific to 1911 people: Colt's original lockwork without the firing pin safety plunger added in the Series 80 design, which is why many shooters believe Series 70 guns can be tuned to a cleaner, more consistent trigger. This Custom Competition build takes that foundation and dresses it for serious use.

Chambered in .45 ACP with a 5-inch government-length barrel and a stainless finish, it carries upgraded sights and enhanced controls over a standard service gun. For shooters who want a 1911 that shoots as well as it looks, this is Colt covering the classic recipe properly.
