Henry's Mare's Leg is a lever-action built on the H001 pattern and cut down to a large-format pistol with a bobbed stock, and it is unapologetically fun. Chambered in .22 WMR with a 12.87-inch barrel, it turns the rimfire magnum into a plinking and small-game shooter with real velocity out of a short tube, and it is one of the few guns that gets handed around a range bench without anyone complaining. Henry's American-made fit and finish shows in the blued steel and walnut, and the smooth lever throw is exactly what the brand built its reputation on.
