Kel-Tec's KS7 is a bullpup pump shotgun, and the layout does exactly what bullpups are meant to do — put a full 18.5-inch barrel into an overall length not much longer than most pistol-grip shotguns. That makes it unusually maneuverable for home defense, vehicle storage and tight interior spaces. The Gen2 Defender adds refinements to the original design with a downward ejection port that makes the gun fully ambidextrous, a top carry handle with an integrated sight channel and a Picatinny rail for optics.
