The Citadel TRAKR is a bolt-action rimfire built for hunters rather than plinkers, and the .17 HMR chambering is the reason. That cartridge drives a tiny bullet fast enough to shoot remarkably flat, which makes it lethal on prairie dogs, ground squirrels, and predators well past where .22 LR gives up.

A 21-inch threaded barrel gives the cartridge room to reach full velocity and lets you add a suppressor, which pairs beautifully with rimfire for pest control near buildings. Blued finish with a detachable magazine, and a scope is essentially mandatory to take advantage of what this round can do.
