Howa's Mini Action is a genuinely short action, scaled specifically around .223-length cartridges rather than a standard short action with a filler block, which saves real weight and shortens bolt travel meaningfully. It keeps the M1500 family's forged receiver and two-stage HACT trigger.

This Fence Line configuration pairs a 20 in. heavy barrel in .223 Remington with a Prairie Reaper camo stock and bronze-toned Cerakote. It is built for exactly what the name suggests: coyotes, prairie dogs and ranch work, where a light, accurate, weather-resistant rifle earns its keep.
