Rock Island Armory's Field series pump shotguns are built to be affordable, simple working guns, and this .410 bore model with a 22-inch barrel and a synthetic stock fills a useful niche. The .410 produces very little recoil, which makes it a reasonable choice for smaller-framed and younger shooters learning to run a pump gun, and it's genuinely effective on squirrels, rabbits and pest birds at sensible distances. A 3-inch chamber lets it handle heavier loads when you want them. Black synthetic furniture keeps it weather-tolerant and inexpensive to own — a good gun to keep in the truck or the barn.
