This Savage Axis 2 is chambered in .22 Creedmoor, a high-velocity cartridge built on the 6mm Creedmoor case necked down to .224-caliber bullets, giving it an exceptionally flat trajectory and strong wind resistance for varmint and predator hunting at extended range. It carries Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger for a crisp, consistent pull, along with a blued barrel and green synthetic stock built to handle rough field conditions. With a 20-inch barrel to help the cartridge reach its full velocity potential, this rifle is a strong choice for coyote and prairie dog hunters who want serious reach without stepping up to a heavier-recoiling caliber. The Axis 2 platform remains a favorite for shooters who want real accuracy on a budget.
