The Axis 2 Pro Western wears a distinctive camo-pattern stock suited to open, arid hunting terrain, built on the same accurate Savage Axis 2 action and AccuTrigger system that has made this rifle line a budget favorite among hunters. It's chambered in 7mm-08 Remington, a cartridge that trades a little case capacity for noticeably less recoil than a .308 while still carrying enough energy downrange for deer, pronghorn, and elk-sized game. The 20-inch barrel keeps the rifle balanced and easy to carry on long stalks across open country, where the Pro Western's finish helps it blend into western landscapes. It's a solid choice for hunters who want a proven cartridge in a rifle dressed for the terrain they hunt.
