Savage's Axis 2 Pro Western is the dressed-up, western-hunting spin on the Axis II, and this one is set up for left-handed shooters in 6mm ARC. The cartridge is better known in AR-15s, but in a bolt gun it becomes a light-recoiling, exceptionally accurate round for pronghorn, deer and coyotes that shoots sleek 100-grain-class bullets with little drift. The muzzle is threaded for a brake or suppressor, and the rifle carries Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger and a detachable box magazine. Southpaws are usually left with a short list of options; this gives them a proper left-hand bolt in a modern cartridge at a weight that is easy to carry all day.
