Savage's 93R17 BTVSS is one of the most accurate factory .17 HMR rifles you can buy, and it looks the part: a stainless barreled action in a gray laminate thumbhole stock, with the AccuTrigger giving a genuinely light, creep-free pull that is user adjustable.

This is the left-hand model with a heavy 21-inch threaded barrel, which is welcome news for southpaws who are usually stuck with right-hand actions. The .17 HMR is devastating on ground squirrels, prairie dogs, and predators out past 150 yards, with a trajectory that flatters the shooter.
