Savage's 93 series is the company's .17 HMR bolt-action platform, and the TRR-SR is its tactical-styled variant: a heavy fluted barrel with a threaded muzzle, a target-profile stock with accessory rails, and Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger. The .17 HMR itself shoots remarkably flat inside 150 yards, making this an ideal rifle for ground squirrels, rockchucks and any small pest that needs a precise hit at distance. The threaded barrel invites a suppressor, which turns an already quiet cartridge into something you can shoot all morning without disturbing anyone.
