The Axis 2 Compact Pro Woodland takes Savage's proven Axis platform and shortens the stock and barrel for shooters with a smaller frame, or for anyone who prefers a rifle that handles quickly from a blind or a treestand. The AccuTrigger is user-adjustable down to a light, crisp pull, and the 20-inch barrel in .308 Winchester gives up very little velocity while gaining real handling advantages. This is a left-hand configuration in a Woodland camo stock with a bronze finish on the metal, a combination that is genuinely hard to find for southpaw hunters.
