The Savage Arms Axis 2 Compact XP is a left-handed bolt-action rifle in .400 Legend, a straight-wall cartridge that works well for deer hunting where bottleneck rounds are restricted. The compact stock and 20 inch barrel suit younger or smaller shooters and make the rifle quick to carry in a blind or stand. Savage's Axis platform is known for an adjustable AccuTrigger, and the XP package is sold as a ready-to-hunt rifle with a scope.
