A complete, ready-to-hunt package: the Axis 2 XP bolt action in .223 Remington with a 22" barrel, FDE synthetic stock, and a scope mounted and bore-sighted from the factory. What sets the Axis 2 apart from the original is the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, which lets you tune the pull down to something usable instead of living with a heavy factory break. This is a true left-hand action, which almost never happens in an entry-level package rifle. The .223 is mild, cheap to shoot, and plenty for varmints, coyotes, and target work — a sensible platform for a new shooter or a dedicated predator rig.
