This is a rubber replacement grip for the Thompson/Center Encore ProHunter pistol, designed to add better cushioning and control when shooting heavy-recoiling calibers. Encore ProHunter pistols are well known for handgun hunting with powerful rifle-class cartridges, so comfort and a secure hold matter. A softer rubber grip helps reduce felt recoil and improves purchase in wet or cold conditions. A simple, worthwhile upgrade for Encore pistol owners who spend serious time behind the gun.
