The whole point of the Thompson/Center Encore and Pro Hunter system is this: one frame, many barrels. This is a 26-inch stainless fluted Pro Hunter barrel chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, threaded 5/8x24 at the muzzle for a brake or suppressor. The long barrel lets the 7mm Magnum reach its potential, and the fluting sheds weight without giving up much stiffness. Swapping barrels on an Encore takes a single hinge pin and a couple of minutes, so one receiver can cover everything from rimfire plinking to elk hunting. Fits Encore and Pro Hunter frames.
