Thompson/Center's interchangeable barrel system is one of the most versatile arrangements in hunting, letting a single Pro Hunter frame cover everything from varmints to heavy game with a barrel change that takes minutes. This barrel is chambered in .45-70 Government, a black powder era cartridge from 1873 that refuses to go out of style because it simply works on big animals at close range.

Loaded modern, the .45-70 is a legitimate elk, moose, and bear cartridge. This is a 26-inch fluted, blued, threaded barrel, so a muzzle device or suppressor is an easy addition. Fits Pro Hunter and compatible T/C break-action frames.
