Traditions built the Outfitter around a single-shot break action, and the design suits .45-70 Government well — a strong, simple lockup handling a big, slow bullet with a long history on everything from elk to bear at woods distances. The 22" stainless barrel resists weather, and this package ships with a 3-9x40 BDC scope already mounted, so it's essentially hunt-ready out of the box. Single-shots reward deliberate shooting, which is exactly the discipline .45-70 asks for. It's also a popular choice in states and seasons where straight-wall cartridge rules apply.
