Howa's M1500 has spent decades earning a reputation as one of the best accuracy-per-dollar bolt actions available, built around a forged, one-piece bolt with a two-lug design and a reliable single-stage trigger. The Superlite Gen2 is the trimmed-down version of that action, shaving weight through a slimmer barrel contour and a lightweight synthetic stock so it carries easily on long walks.

This one wears a 20-inch threaded, blued barrel in 7mm-08 Remington, a mild-recoiling, efficient deer cartridge that performs well out of short barrels. Threading makes it easy to add a brake or suppressor where legal.
