The HOWA M1500 Mini Action is a genuinely clever piece of engineering: rather than shoehorning a short cartridge into a full-length short action, HOWA scaled the receiver itself down to match. The result is a lighter, stiffer rifle with a shorter bolt throw, which suits 6.5 Grendel perfectly. Japanese-made HOWA barreled actions have a long-standing reputation for accuracy that rivals far more elaborate rifles.

The Fence Line configuration with a 22-inch barrel and gray finish is aimed at ranch and varmint work, where a light, accurate, mild-recoiling rifle earns its keep on coyotes, hogs, and deer-sized game.
