The Howa 1500 action has a long reputation for being one of the smoothest and most accurate factory bolt actions available, and the Mini Action is Howa's genuinely shorter receiver built specifically around short cartridges rather than a full-length action with a filler block. This Fence Line configuration chambers 6mm ARC behind a 20-inch barrel — an excellent pairing, since the ARC drives high-BC .243 bullets efficiently and shines on coyotes, hogs and long-range steel while producing very little recoil. The shortened action and 20-inch barrel keep the whole rifle light and quick, and the gray finish suits open western country.
