The Howa Mini Action is a genuinely clever piece of engineering: a bolt action scaled down to the actual length of short cartridges like 7.62x39, which shortens bolt throw, reduces weight, and stiffens the receiver compared to running a small round through a standard short action. Howa barreled actions have a long reputation for shooting well above their price.

This Fence Line configuration wears a 20-inch barrel in a Scorched Earth FDE finish, making a compact, handy rifle well suited to ranch work, hogs, and whitetail inside moderate distances where 7.62x39 does its best work.
