LWRC built its reputation on short-stroke gas piston operating systems that run cooler and cleaner than traditional direct-impingement AR rifles, and the SIX8-A5 brings that engineering to the 6.8 SPC platform. Originally developed to improve on 5.56 NATO terminal performance while still running through AR-15-sized magazines and receivers, 6.8 SPC offers a meaningful step up in bullet weight and energy for hunting and defensive applications. This SIX8-A5 features a 14-inch barrel for a more maneuverable, close-quarters-capable package, finished in OD Green and fitted with a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle for suppressor or muzzle device compatibility. LWRC's piston system is well regarded for reliability in adverse conditions where direct-impingement guns can struggle.
