A Proof Research PXT pre-fit barrel for the Tikka T3x, chambered in .308 Winchester at 16.5 inches. The short length is a deliberate choice for suppressor use and for hunters who want a genuinely compact rifle — .308 is efficient enough to remain effective from a short tube, and a can restores overall length to something closer to a standard rifle without adding much weight thanks to Proof's carbon-fiber wrap. Cut to Tikka's shouldered pre-fit specification, it headspaces off the shoulder and installs without a lathe, which is why these barrels have made the T3x such a popular platform for owner-built rifles.
