With a 16.5-inch barrel, this Core Hunter Pro Western is about as compact as a centerfire hunting rifle gets, which is exactly the point when you plan to hang a suppressor off the muzzle. The 7mm Backcountry cartridge was engineered for this scenario — it delivers magnum-class velocity from short barrels where traditional magnums would be bleeding off speed. The bronze finish handles weather, and the Savage 110 action underneath contributes the adjustable AccuTrigger, floating bolt head and AccuFit stock system. A rifle built for hunters working thick country, treestands or horseback, suppressed.
