Savage's Core Hunter Pro Western pairs the proven 110 action with a bronze finish and a 20-inch barrel chambered in 7mm Backcountry, a modern cartridge engineered specifically to deliver magnum-class velocity from short, suppressor-friendly barrels. That combination is exactly what western hunters have been asking for: a rifle short enough to carry on a pack frame and shoot suppressed, but with the reach to handle open country. The 110 platform contributes the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, a floating bolt head for consistent lockup, and the AccuFit system for tuning comb height and length of pull.
