The Zastava PAP M90 is a Serbian-built AK-pattern rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO, built on the heavier 1.5mm receiver associated with the M70 family rather than the lighter stamped receivers common to imported AKs. That extra receiver thickness, along with the bulged trunnion, is why these rifles have a reputation for durability.

The 18.25-inch barrel in a blued finish gives good velocity from 5.56 while keeping the rifle balanced, and the combination of AK reliability with an affordable, widely available cartridge makes this an appealing choice for shooters who love the platform but not the cost of feeding it.
