An 18-inch Proof Research PXT carbon-fiber barrel blank in .308 caliber, Sendero contour. The carbon wrap over a match-grade stainless core is what Proof is known for: heavy-contour stiffness at a dramatically reduced weight, with faster heat shedding than steel of the same profile. At 18 inches this blank is aimed at compact and suppressed builds, where barrel length is chosen deliberately to keep overall length reasonable once a can is threaded on. It ships unchambered and unthreaded for a qualified gunsmith to finish to your action and cartridge — raw material for a custom rifle, not a drop-in replacement.
