The ACE-R Upland Ultralight is Retay's gun for hunters who cover ground on foot. Inertia operation keeps the action simple, clean and light, and a 20 gauge with a 26-inch barrel is about as pleasant a combination as exists for walking up pheasants, quail or grouse behind a dog.

Modern 20 gauge loads have narrowed the gap on the 12 considerably, and the weight you save shows up in the last hour of a long day. Chambered for 3-inch shells with a black finish, and Retay's bolt-locking design keeps the action shut when the gun is set aside.
